ℹ️ This policy explains what data The Daily Drip collects, why, and how it is handled. The short version: we do not sell your data, and nearly everything stays on your device. Free tier users see ads powered by Google AdMob.

Information We Collect

Location Data

The Daily Drip requests access to your device's location solely to retrieve local weather conditions. Location data is:

You may deny location permission at any time. The app will still work if you enter a location manually.

No Account or Login Required

The free tier requires no account, email, name, or identifying information. There is no sign-up form.

Crash & Diagnostics Data

The app collects minimal, fully anonymized crash reports (device type, OS version, app version, stack trace). These contain no personally identifiable information.

We do not sell your data to third parties. Pro subscribers see no advertisements.

Local Storage & Device Data

Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data.

Third-Party Services

Open-Meteo Weather API

Device coordinates are sent to retrieve weather forecasts. No account info is shared. Open-Meteo is free and open-source.

Google AdMob Advertising

Serves banner and interstitial ads to free tier users. May collect device identifiers and ad interaction data. We request non-personalized ads by default.

RevenueCat Subscriptions

Manages subscription entitlements and purchase validation. May process purchase tokens and subscription status. No payment card details are shared with RevenueCat.

Google Play Billing Payments

All payment transactions are handled by Google Play. We never see your payment card details.

NOAA / RainViewer Weather Data

NOAA provides geomagnetic (KP Index) data. RainViewer provides precipitation radar tiles. Neither receives personal information.

The Daily Drip is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided data, contact us at support@thedailydrip.app.
